Zak Morgan and David "Dela" LaBruyere met and became fast friends in the late 1990s while recording Zak's first record, Bloom, at Ric Hordinski's Mersey Beat Studio. They worked together again on Zak's second project, When Bullfrogs Croak. Over the years, Zak and David talked about collaborating on a deeper level, but David was busy touring with John Mayer and Zak was busy navigating the west coast. By 2009 they had both settled back into the midwest and that fall they began writing and recording together in David's house, which he has turned into an impressive recording studio. They spent most of 2010 working on The Candy Machine, a sophisticated, adventurous concept album about temptation, salvation, and the golden rule.

David met Gary Gold at the Telluride Blues Festival in 2007.  David was touring with John Mayer and Gary was touring with soul legend Howard Tate.  They knew immediately they were kindred spirits on a similar high level of musicianship. One of David's many talents is connecting people who are on the same wavelength and his instincts told him that there was a good team in the making. Just as he suspected, when he introduced Gary to Zak, they hit it off right away. Gary mixed, mastered, and played drums on The Candy Machine and Noodle Nation was born.

Zak, David and Gary all have unique skill sets and they all have a shared vision: create intelligent, high quality music and video content that families can participate in and be inspired by together.

Noodle Nation. Using our brains for good.
